Nineteen members of the Granite Mountain Hotshots firefighting team tragically lost their lives on June 30, 2013, while fighting a fire in Yarnell, Arizona.

The Yarnell Hill Fire, ignited by lightning on June 28, 2013, it overran and killed 19 City of Prescott firefighters, members of the Granite Mountain Hotshots - resulting in the deadliest wildfire ever in Arizona.

Six rounds for time of:

30 Squats

135 pound Power clean, 19 reps

7 Strict Pull-ups

Run 400 meters

STIMULUS

*Goal (Fittest)* – Fittest times can range from 32-35mins or faster depending on how elite of an athlete we are talking. Fittest athletes should be staying quick through the Air Squats. Look to complete the Power Cleans in big sets or fast bunches. Pull-Ups close to unbroken every round if not 2 quick sets. Run should be done in a 1:45-1:50 minute or less if you’re cooking.

*Goal (All)* – Looking to have all athletes in the 40-45min range or work until the cap. All athletes should remain steady and controlled on the Air Squats. Look to complete the Power Cleans in 3 maybe 4 at the very most. Look to complete quick sets on the Pull-Ups. Keep the run between 2:00 - 2:20 minutes.

*Workout Feel (All)* – This workout is a grind! It’s long, tough, and every bit a hero workout. The Lower Back really starts to burn as the Glutes, Quads and Hamstrings start to get tighter and tighter as each round and rep progresses. The Lat fatigue is real and each Power Clean slowly steals your pulling capacity before the Pull-Ups. Runs, although consistent, seem to feel like a longer distance as each round builds upon the next.
